Financial Secretary Devon Rowe has agreed to stay on at the Ministry of Finance and Planning ahead of his planned departure from that post.
RJR News has received word that Mr. Rowe has been offered a lucrative post in the region, and was expected to start working shortly.
However Audley Shaw, Minister of Finance and Planning confirmed Thursday that nominally, Mr. Rowe has agreed to stay on for a while, to allow for a smooth transition.
Mr. Rowe was among several senior finance and planning technocrats in attendance at Thursday's 2016/2017 Estimates of Expenditure.
