The driver involved in the deadly crash in which two students were killed in Clarendon on Monday, was pointed out in an identification parade on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators are making arrangements to lay charges against him.
He's facing several charges including causing death by dangerous driving.
The driver was captured by the police at Norman Manley International Airport hours after the crash.
It's alleged that he was attempting to flee the island.
The students were killed when the driver, who was operating a Subaru motorcar as an unlicensed taxi, crashed head-on into a Toyota Probox motor vehicle on Bustamante Highway.
It's alleged that he was attempting to elude a joint team involving the police and members of the Transport Authority, in a chase, when he lost control of the vehicle.
Three other students were injured in the crash.
The students were passengers in the unlicensed taxi.
