Fire claimed the life of an elderly woman in Petersfield, Westmoreland on Wednesday night.
Reports are that sometime after 8 p.m. fire was seen coming from a section of the premises.
The fire brigade was alerted and two units from Savanna-la-Mar responded to the blaze.
During cooling down operations the body of the woman was discovered among the rubble.
Up to late Wednesday night her identity had not been released.
