A former soldier was among three persons murdered in Jamaica on Monday.
He has been identified as 34 year old Chavaughn Burrell, a resident of Kemps Hill, Clarendon.
About 8:15 Monday evening, Mr. Burrell was walking in the community when he was shot by gunmen.
He was pronounced dead at Lionel Town Hospital.
The other murder victims are a 30 year old taxi operator in Spanish Town, St. Catherine and a 26 year old man in the St. Andrew South police division.
More than 550 persons have been murdered in Jamaica since the start of the year.
