Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie said the affected persons will be provided with basic supplies to help them get through the next few days.

He said it was unfortunate that the fire took place just before Christmas.

Mr. McKenzie is also concerned about the children who have been left homeless. He said the ministry is trying to make arrangements for some of them to be facilitated by persons nearby.
