People's National Party President Mark Golding has called for members and supporters to end the divisiveness which has been plaguing the party.
Mr. Golding said the PNP is being hampered by the internal quarrels when the focus should be on national issues and the effects on the Jamaican people.
He urged unity as the party continues its efforts to drum up support in divisions and constituencies ahead of local government and general elections.
Addressing the Myersville Divisional Conference in Nain, St. Elizabeth on Sunday, Mr. Golding said the Andrew Holness administration is losing the support of the Jamaican people and the PNP must capitalise on this.
"The Jamaican people are turned off from them. They have lost their way, so we as the People’s National Party, we just haffi get our act together in one accord. That means we just have our eye on the prize, have our eye on what Jamaica needs, what Jamaica is expecting of us - which is that we come together and we put aside all the petty differences that we may have had," he declared.
Mr. Golding insisted the discord in the party has nothing to do with "fundamental issues".
"The likkle issues we have a pure personal agendas and so on. So mek we park dem ting deh and we move forward in one accord," he urged supporters.
