Grenada: Lawyers seeking close to one million EC dollars in compensation for Anderson Peters

In Grenada, a team of local defense lawyers is asking for close to one million EC dollars in compensation for world javelin champion, Anderson Peters, in the Harbour Master issue.

Grenada's NEW TODAY reports that the lawyers have put forward proposals of eight hundred thousand EC dollars to the Trinidadians who were engulfed in the August 10th incident on board the party vessel known as Harbour Master.

It quoted sources as saying the lawyers are asking for four hundred thousand EC dollars for "damages" to Anderson Peters in the incident and another four hundred thousand EC dollars for "loss of earnings as an elite world-class athlete on the Diamond League circuit."

It is not clear whether the sum being demanded includes the legal fees to be paid to the lawyers.
