Half Way Tree Transport Centre to close for 2 weeks, buses to be relocated

The Transport Centre in Half Way Tree, St Andrew is to undergo some amount of renovation and resurfacing over a two week period beginning on March 24.

On that day buses operating from the ground floor will be temporarily relocated to other areas in Half Way Tree.

During the two-week period, the 700 route will not be in operation.

Buses destined for Portmore (1A, 3A, 8A, 12A, 16A, 17A, 17AX, 18A, 19AX, 20A) will reportedly operate from South Odeon Avenue.

Buses destined for Spanish Town will operate from upstairs the Centre.

The 83 route which goes Downtown via Mountain View will be operated from Clock Tower Plaza.

Corporate Communications Manager at the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), Reginald Allen says the special routes for the disabled and some transfers - 101, 102 and 103 which normally operate from the ground floor will now terminate upstairs the centre.

The 800 bus destined for Crossroads via New Kingston will be available upstairs rather than downstairs the Centre

The 52A and 53 bus will operate from North Odeon Avenue.

The number 47 and 75 buses can be boarded at the corner of Molynes and Eastwood Park Roads.

All other operations at the Transport Centre will remain unchanged.
