Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson has ordered a top level investigation into an incident in which gunmen stormed the FDR Hotel in Runaway Bay, St. Ann on Friday morning, robbing staff and overseas guests.

A security guard on duty was tied up by the hoodlums, who then proceeded to rob the night auditor and two American visitors from Florida.
According to investigators, the night auditor was robbed of J$19,000, US$700 and a cellular telephone.
It's reported that shots were fired as they were demanding that the night auditor open the safe.
According to investigators one of the men who was left with the guard was proceeding to the lobby area when he was fired on by his cronies in the lobby area who thought he was a security personnel.
It's further reported that the two Americans were driving onto the hotel grounds when their vehicle was intercepted by two armed men.
The men demanded that the Americans hand over their properties.
One of the Americans resisted and one of the men fired a round into the ground and again demanded he handed over his property.
The group of gunmen then fled the hotel grounds and made their escape in the area.
No one was hurt in the incident.
