The Highgate market in St. Mary was destroyed by fire on Saturday morning.
The blaze started sometime after 4 o'clock.
Deputy Superindent Andrew Wildman of the St. Mary Fire Department told Radio Jamaica News that 25 firefighters from St Mary, St Ann and Portland battled the blaze for several hours.
