IDB approves US$60 million to boost Haiti's food security

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved US$60 million in non-reimbursable financing to Haiti to improve the food security of rural households.
It said the project will promote rural productivity and connectivity to rural markets.
The project will be co-financed with US$18.3 million from the Global Agriculture and Food Security Programme.
The IDB said a menu of agricultural technologies has been developed based on their food security relevance, climate adaptation potential, and the environmental sustainability of different crops.
