Residents of Richmond Vale in western St. Thomas are appealing to the authorities to address the poor state of their community road.
The residents say the main roadway has been in a deplorable state for some 38 years.
One resident, Nardo Henderson, says he and several others have been forced to abandon vehicular transportation during daily commute.
"Taxi seh dem nah come a Richmond, dem let we off a bridge, Ramble bridge. Dat a five miles from where Ramble is fi reach a Richmond, and you haffi walk it from deh suh leaving work tired. All yuh have yuh money, yuh cyaan reach caw dem nah tek yuh money caw di road nuh di deh fi you pay nuh fare come up.
"We vote fi dem, put dem inna power mek dem comfortable. Unuh gi wi likkle road now nuh mek wi comfortable to, man. We waah likke road fi mek wi comfortable to, man!" he pleaded.
