INDECOM probing alleged rape and robbery of woman by cops in St. Elizabeth

Investigators of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) are probing an incident in which a female motorist was allegedly robbed and sexually assaulted by members of a police team in St. Elizabeth on Monday night.
 
The Police High Command has also launched a probe into the incident.
 
INDECOM Commissioner Hugh Faulkner told Radio Jamaica News that his team has been dispatched to St. Elizabeth and will conduct supervised inquiry with regards to the matter.
 
He said the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) will be the primary investigators into the alleged rape. 
 
The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau of the Jamaica Constabulary Force is also investigating the incident.
