A Jamaican man was fatally shot in a hail of bullets as he stepped out of his house in Bronx, New York on Tuesday.
He has been identified as 46 year-old Denver Bernard, who recently emigrated to New York from Jamaica.
He was struck three times by a gunman who stepped out of a dark-colored vehicle sometime before 8 o'clock in the morning.
Mr Bernard died outside his house.
His landlady described him as a good person who came to the United States to earn money for his family.
Neighbors described hearing a barrage of gunshots and seeing Mr Bernard's body on the ground in a pool of blood.
