The victims in Sunday's deadly crash in Trelawny have been identified.

They are: 23-year-old Quanardo Owens - the driver of the ill-fated bus - Simone Minott, Dwayne Campbell, Horace Tulloch and Ackeem Roberts.

The five were killed when the driver lost control of the bus, which overturned and slammed into several trees along the Salt Marsh main road on Sunday morning.

Seven other passengers were injured.

The group was reportedly heading to a party in Hanover.

Deputy Superintendent Ainsley McCarthy, head of the Trelawny Police Division, told Radio Jamaica News that three of the injured passengers remain hospitalised in serious but stable condition.

The others have been treated and released.

He said speeding was the cause of the accident.

DSP McCarthy added that the group left a party in Ocho Rios, St. Ann and were heading to another party in Hanover when tragedy struck.
