An employee of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) depot in Portmore, St. Catherine, was killed Thursday night in a crash on the compound.
He has been identified as 41-year-old Rohan Robinson.
Mr. Robinson was employed to the JUTC for six years as a bus cleaner.
JUTC Corporate Communications Manager Cecil Thoms told Radio Jamaica News that the mishap occurred shortly after 10 o'clock.
He said Mr. Robinson was in the process of washing a bus when he attempted to move the vehicle to another area and crashed into a column and two other buses.
At the sound of the impact, other staff members came to the scene and found him slumped over the steering wheel and unresponsive.
He was later pronounced dead.
Mr. Thoms said bus cleaners are not allowed to operate buses.
