"Livity" Coke, co-accused remanded on murder charges

Leighton "Livity" Coke and six others, accused of murder, were again remanded when they appeared before the Home Circuit Court on Monday.

Attorneys for the defendants complained that they have not been provided with all the material in the case.

They have also asked for the transcript and notes of evidence taken at the pre-trial hearing before the St. Andrew Parish Court, last year.

Legal representation for some of the accused is also yet to be settled.

The men are to return to court on November 5.

Livity Coke, his brother Lanchester Coke, and nephew Christopher Coke Jr are accused of the March 12, 2017 murder of Patrick Davis, the alleged leader of the Screamers Gang in Denham Town, West Kingston.

The other defendants are Iesha Jones, Delmarco Cephas, David Biggs and Wayne Page.

Mr. Davis was abducted from a hotel in the Corporate Area and taken to a location in East Kingston where he was killed and his body dumped.

Investigators linked the murder to a feud involving gangs from Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town.
