Man accused of US school threats arrested in Jamaica

A man has been arrested in Jamaica after he allegedly issued threats which resulted in the closure of a school in Lapwai, Idaho in the US.
 
It's reported that Nez Perce Tribal Police collaborated with the Federal Bureau of  Investigation as well as authorities in Canada and Jamaica to identify the man. 
 
A police official said investigators were also able to speak with the man, who is believed to be responsible for threats to other schools.
 
Investigators sought out contacts with international law enforcement agencies, including police in Kingston, where it was believed the calls were originating from.
 
The police eventually made contact with the suspect, and obtained details which led to his apprehension by Jamaican authorities.
 
Schools in the Lapwai area were closed on Tuesday because of the threats. 
 
On Friday, US authorities announced investigators had determined the threats came from an international source and schools would reopen today.
