Man arrested in Manchester on Tuesday linked to Beryllium robbery, wanted for murder and shooting in St. Catherine

The Manchester Police have disclosed that the man arrested at the New Green roundabout in Mandeville on Tuesday is a person of interest in the recent robbery of Beryllium couriers in Portmore, St Catherine.

The man is also wanted for murder and shooting by the St Catherine North Police.

DSP Johnson says the division has been having a problem with suspects in crimes migrating to the parish.

Radio Jamaica News reported on Tuesday that the police detained a man who was a passenger in a minibus that was stopped during a spot check on the New Green Road.

He was reportedly acting in a suspicious manner; he was questioned and subsequently arrested.
