Mia Mottley listed among TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people

Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley has been listed among the 100 most influential people in TIME Magazine's 2022 edition.

In the article, written by Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Ms Mottley is described as bold, fearless, and possessing great intellect and wit.

Ms Mottley is hailed for being a political powerhouse as the ruling Barbados Labour Party swept last year's general elections in a consecutive landslide.

Ms Mottley, whose administration also ushered in a new Barbadian era by becoming the world's newest republic, is ranked by TIME alongside A-list Hollywood actors, human rights advocates and political leaders across the globe.

TIME Magazine's double-issue of the '100 Most Influential People' is set for a worldwide release between June 6 and June 13.
