Report by RJRGLEANER Group Sports Reporter Renardo Brown

The West Indies women will have to come from behind in their 3-match One Day International series against Sri Lanka after the home team took a 1-0 lead in the series, following a 6 wicket victory on Saturday in Hambantota.

Skipper Hayley Matthews top scored with 38 in leading the West Indies to 195 all out. Sri Lanka achieved victory at 198-4 in 34.1 overs.

With this result, Sri Lanka ended a six-match ODI losing streak against West Indies stretching back to 2015. The second game in the series will be played on Monday.
