There is now a strong police/military presence in Gregory, Portmore, St. Catherine following this morning's suspected firebombing of at least eight houses in an area known as Mexico.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that gunshots were heard shortly before the board structures were seen on fire sometime after 1 o'clock.
There were no reports of injuries.
This morning's incident is suspected to be a reprisal for Monday's firebombing of houses in Portmore Villa.
The houses were set on fire during a shootout between rival gangs.
A 48-hour curfew was imposed in Gregory Park on Tuesday, which covered sections of Dyke Road and Municipal Boulevard.
