National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited says it may close some of its automated banking machines or limit their times of operations.
In a release Monday, the bank said it has made adjustments to its ABM network following an ongoing review of the risk profile at each location.
NCB says the changes are being made on "a case-by-case basis", with possibly the temporary closure of some 24-hour machines at night and or the permanent closure of locations.
The entity did not list the locations which will see these changes.
The bank clarified that machines that were previously vandalised or saw theft have not been replaced. ?
Banks have been facing major challenges, especially over the last few months, with increased cases of theft and damage to ABMs.
At the end of 2022, according the Bank of Jamaica's latest Payment Systems bulletin, there were 824 ABMs across the island as against 793 at the end of 2021.
That number has been reduced over the last few weeks.
