Two cops wounded in accidental shooting at police station

 
The St. Catherine South Police are investigating a case of accidental shooting, involving two officers at the Central Village Police Station on Friday morning. 
 
One is being treated for a wound to the abdomen and the other to the hand. 
 
The wounded cops are assigned to the Area 5 Operations team. 
 
Radio Jamaica News was informed that a member of the team was checking his weapon when it fell and discharged two rounds hitting the officers. 
 
Their injuries are not considered serious.
