Another alleged member of the 7's Gang, operating in the Waltham Park Road area, was fatally shot in a police operation Thursday morning.
This comes a day after the Police High Command reported that its members had been placed on high alert following the police shooting of the reputed leader of the gang on Wednesday.
Kirk Holton, 24, otherwise called Sugar of 77 Waltham Park Road, St Andrew, was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police about 4:50 in Red Hills.
An illegal gun was reportedly seized in the operation.
Head of the Area 4 Police, Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps has warned that the police will react to the threats being sent by members of the 7's Gang.
The police say Holton was a top tier member of the gang and was implicated in several murders and shootings within the St. Andrew Central and St Andrew South divisions.
He was also featured in the quadruple murder on November 25 last year along Ayrshire Avenue, Kingston 10, according to the police.
The cops say he fled Waltham Park Road last year following the quadruple murder and sought refuge in Red Hills.
Twenty-three year-old Shacqol Pounall, otherwise called Track Star, the reputed leader of the gang, was fatally shot on Wednesday, reportedly during a confrontation with the police at a house on Content Avenue, Kingston 10.
The Police say they are searching for other members of the gang.
