A file is to be sent to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for a ruling in the case involving the husband of Bishop Gibson High School teacher, Carolyn Davis Campbell, who was fatally shot at her home in Manchester two months ago.

Mrs Davis Campbell's husband was taken into custody last week Tuesday and questioned.

Superintendent Wayne Cameron, head of the Manchester Police, said the decision to submit the file to be DPP is not just for transparency but to ensure the police "cover any gaps or anything that we may have missed during our course of the investigation."

Mrs Davis Campbell was shot by a gunman who invaded her home in Melrose Mews on July 10.

Superintendent Cameron said the lawyer for Mrs Davis Campbell's husband has indicated that a writ of habeas corpus will be filed Tuesday seeking his release.
