National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang
National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang says the outcome of the probe into the alleged trimming of a Rastafarian woman will be known before the end of the week.
Nineteen-year-old Nzinga King claims she was given a haircut on July 22 while serving time at Four Paths Police Station in Clarendon.
Dr. Chang told Radio Jamaica News that investigators are working around the clock to ascertain what happened.
"If, in fact, it's confirmed that they did trim the young lady, irrespective of her conduct, they would be subject to very serious disciplinary action," he warned.
Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson ordered an investigation into the incident shortly after it was made public.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) and the Office of the Public Defender have also launched their own probes into the matter.
