The rift in the People's National Party (PNP) over the decision to accept the membership application by Joan Gordon-Webley is deepening.On Saturday, members of the Party's National Executive Council (NEC) voted not to accept Gordon Webley's application. although it was recently approved by the Party's executive committee.
As a result of the rejection, Gordon-Webley's application has been sent back to the PNP's executive committee.
Hours after the rejection, PNP member, Delano Franklyn, again made public his opposition to Mrs Gordon Webley's application.
At a South East St. Catherine divisional conference at the Portmore Community College,late Saturday, Franklyn confirmed the NEC's decision which he endorsed.Franklyn explained his unwillingness to accept Gordon-Webley into the PNP fold.
