Rosalee Gage-Grey separated from CPFSA

By Lorraine Mendez

Radio Jamaica News has been informed that Chief Executive Officer of the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), Rosalee Gage Grey, has been separated from the agency.

This follows the damning report by the Office of the Children's Advocate on the CPFSA's engagement with Embracing Orphans founder, Carl Robanske.

Robanske was sanctioned in the United States for exchanging sexually inappropriate messages with a minor.

The Commission has delivered its recommendation to the Governor General.

When contacted for a comment Friday afternoon, Mrs Gage-Grey simply stated that our reporter should "ask the PSC".

In a statement to Parliament on January 10, following the tabling of the OCA report, Education and Youth Minister Fayval Williams had said the Public Services Commission would deliberate on the future of Mrs Gage Grey as head of the CPFSA.

She accused Mrs Gage-Grey of disobeying instructions to sever ties with Robanske after the claims of sexual misconduct surfaced.

In its report, the Office of the Children's Advocate said the CPFSA head committed a gross breach of the duty of care to wards of the state and former wards housed at facilities run by the agency.
