The Westmoreland police are probing the murder of a medical doctor who was found with his throat slashed at his home in Savanna-la-Mar, Sunday afternoon.
He has been identified as 57-year-old general practitioner, Dr Aung Naing.
He was reportedly living alone.
It's reported that concerned neighbours alerted the police after not seeing him for several days.
Dr Naing has been living in Jamaica since 1997. He started his career as an intern at Kingston Public Hospital, following his arrival from Myanmar.
He then moved on to work at Savanna-la-Mar Hospital and later at Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover.
