Search on for man lost in the Rio Cobre

Frantic efforts are still underway to find a 24-year-old resident of Damhead in St Catherine, who went into the Rio Cobre Saturday afternoon.

Residents of Crescent near Damnhead are looking for Trace Scott who went into the river just after three o'clock Saturday afternoon during a fishing expedition.

Kevin Scott, Trace Scott's brother explains what happened.

"We were going fishing, so we were going across the river on a raft. He was to wait until some of us went across on the raft which would then come back for him but some of the other men dived into the water to swim across and he did so too but he can't swim. When the (men) realized that he couldn't swim and turned back to help him, the water just wash him away," Kevin Scott told RJR News.

The residents are asking for assistance to help in finding Mr. Scott.
