As the police and military continue their crackdown on criminal activities in St. James, six men have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure of two illegal guns and more than 30 rounds of ammunition.
The men were arrested on Monday morning during a major operation in York Bush district.
During the operation, they seized one 9 millimetre Taurus pistol with a magazine containing fourteen rounds, a Browning 9 millimetre pistol with a magazine containing ten rounds and six .38 cartridges.
The six suspects were taken into custody.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
Meanwhile, in another operation in Glendevon on Monday morning, a disassembled Beretta pistol was seized.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
