Six-year-old killed in accidental shooting

A six-year-old is dead after he was shot be his 15-year-old relative in Harmony Town, Westmoreland on Monday. 
 
The deceased has been identified as Jadaine Miller.
 
Superintendent Robert Gordon, Commanding officer for the Westmoreland Police, told Radio Jamaica News that detectives are investigating a case of accidental shooting.
 
He said the police were alerted sometime after 3:00 p.m. to the premises where it's reported the teen had been "playing with a weapon" that "discharged one round, hitting the six-year-old in the neck." 
 
Superintendent Gordon said arrangements have been made for the teenager to report to the police on Wednesday.
 
The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) is also investigating the matter.
