Spanish Town Hospital to undergo renovation in 2023

 

The Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine is to be redeveloped next year. 

 

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says a six storey building will be constructed.

 

"The facility is going to be totally renovated, and this is not hitting out a wall and replacing [with] another wall. We're going to clear an entire site. So there are going to be some dismantling of existing buildings and infrastructure, the removal of some services - the pharmacy, for example - and you're basically creating a greenfield site," he declared. 

 

Ground is to be broken in the first quarter of 2023.
