Taxi Operator charged for looting crashed truck in St. Ann

The St Ann police have laid charges against a Taxi Operator accused of looting a truck along the Faiths Pen main road over a week ago.

29 year old Kemar Graham, a resident of Faiths Pen, has been charged with the offence of Simple Larceny.

Mr Graham was arrested after the police raided the community and recovered items stolen from the truck in his possession.

Mr Graham was among a group of persons who stormed the truck after the driver was fatally shot by hoodlums along the main road in Faiths Pen.

Millions of dollars worth of food items including rice, flour, cornmeal, oil, milk, butter and other goods were stolen from the truck.

The truck was transporting the goods on behalf of Facey Commodity to Western Jamaica when the driver, Dave Brown, was shot.

The truck crashed and overturned.
