Television Jamaica's Giovanni Dennis was named Journalist of the Year for 2022.
The announcement came at the Annual Press Association of Jamaica Awards at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.
The judges, in their report, noted that Mr Dennis reported on a number of issues.
Mr Dennis also lifted the President's Award for Investigative Journalism, news (electronic) and environment.
The Jamaica Observer's Romardo Lyons retained his title as Young Journalist of the Year.
The RJRGLEANER Communications Group won big at the Journalism Awards with team members copping the most coveted awards in 13 categories.
From the Group, TVJ's Jerome Foster was named Sports Journalist of the Year.
Kelesha Williams and Vashon Brown won awards for Excellence in Reporting on Technology and Agriculture respectfully.
The Gleaner's Kimone Francis won the Carlton Alexander Award for Finance and Business.
She also won the Carl Wint Award for Best Human Feature Interest Story.
Janet Silvera copped the Best Breaking News Coverage category.
The Gleaner dominated the photography categories with Ashley Anguin copping the Errol Harvey Award for Human Interest Photography while Rudolph Brown copped the Aston Rhoden Award for News Photography.
Gladstone Taylor also won the Junior Dowie Award for Sports Photography.
The Observer's Sherdon Cowan won the Crosskill/Raymond Sharpe Award for Sports (Print) category
Nationwide News Network and Sports Max TV and Street Driven TV were also multiple awardees.
