Mixed opening day for Windies in first test against Pakistan

Honours were even at stumps on the opening day of the first test between Pakistan and the West Indies with the hosts recovering  from a shaky start to reach 143-4 in their first innings at the close in Multan.

Saud Shakeel 56 and Mohammed Rizwan 51 are the not out batsmen at the close. The two have so far  shared in an unbroken 97 run 5th wicket  partnership after they  had been reduced to 46-4 at one stage.

Jayden Seales has so far taken 3-19 and Gudakesh Motie 1-45 for the Caribbean team. Earlier, the start of play was delayed by four hours due to heavy fog.
