A pastor is among three persons being questioned in relation to what the police believe is a religious cult operating in Ewarton, St Catherine.
It follows the discovery of a 13 year-old girl of Four Paths, Clarendon, whose family reported her missing on April 7.
Officers from the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch found the teenager hiding under a bed in Ewarton.
Deputy Superintendent Susan Bruce, Commanding Officer for the Division, said the property was occupied by an aunt of the missing girl.
She characterised the aunt as "the mastermind" in the case.
"Both females and a male, believed to be a pastor, are now being questioned," she revealed.
"Investigators are looking into the possibility that this case is linked to a religious cult operating at the location," Deputy Superintendent Susan Bruce said, but did not elaborate.
