Trinityville to Cedar Valley road in St. Thomas being repaired

Repairs are being carried out on the Trinityville to Cedar Valley road in St. Thomas which was blocked by a breakaway on Tuesday.

The National Works Agency (NWA) says vehicular access should be restored later this month.

NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw says motorists should use the alternative route via Yallahs to Llandewey through Windsor Forest.

Residents of Cedar Valley have resorted to walking across the damaged area to get to their destination.

Farmers in the area have been complaining about not being able to transport their produce to market because of the damaged road.
