US fugitive held in Kingston waives right to extradition hearing

US fugitive, Ranje Reynolds, on Monday morning waived his right to an extradition hearing.

Mr. Reynolds signed the consent form in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish court.

The 24-year-old is wanted in connection with the January murder of 27-year-old Tarek Boothe of Virginia.

It is alleged that Mr. Reynolds shot and killed Mr. Boothe following an argument.

Members of the United States Marshals Service in Florida and Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force were involved in taking Mr. Reynolds into custody.

US media reports say he will be returned to Washington, D.C. where he will be charged with first-degree murder while armed.
