VTDI and NCTVET workers end six-day strike

Classes have resumed at the Vocational Training Development Institute (VTDI) on Gordon Town Road in St. Andrew following a six-day strike at the state run entity.
 
Employees at the associated National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) are also back on the job.
 
Workers at both institutions resumed duties on Wednesday following the intervention of the Ministry of Education.
 
Carolyn O'Connor, Jamaica Teachers' Association delegate for the VTDI, told Radio Jamaica News that the ministry has called a meeting for Monday, January 31 to discuss their concerns about pay and contract issues.
