On Sunday morning police shot and killed a man they said
was wanted for several murders in the second city of Montego Bay.
Dwayne Murray, otherwise called "Bunny" of Bogue Hill was fatally shot after he and two other men allegedly shot at a police party on Church Lane, Montego Bay Sunday morning.
According to the CCN's Liaison Officer for the parish, sometime around 2:30 a.m., the police team responded to reports that gunmen were at a night club on Church Lane.
As the police got closer to the club, three men were spotted leaving the scene in a hurry.
The police accosted the men who reportedly started shooting at them.
The lawmen took evasive action and returned fire, hitting Murray.
He fell as the other gunmen escaped.
Murray was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Bureau of Special investigations has commenced a probe.
