The St. Catherine North Police are searching for gunmen in connection with the execution-style killing of a woman in the community of Venecia in Linstead this morning.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Serena Needham.
It's reported that masked men, armed with rifles and handguns, invaded a house occupied by Ms Needham and other persons about 2 o'clock.
It's understood that the men, who claimed to be police officers, took Ms Needham outside and shot her.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the men stole two television sets and a cellular phone.
Investigators reported that Ms Needham was the common-law wife of a man who was recently charged with murder.
They are trying to determine whether her killing was a reprisal.
