Caribbean-American leaders in New York rally support for Kamala Harris ahead of election

As Americans vote in the presidential elections tomorrow, the overwhelmingly large Caribbean community and political activists and legislators in New York are urging Caribbean nationals to cast ballots for Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she is the better candidate to be the next president of the United States.

The Democratic Party nominee is seeking to become the first woman of colour and Caribbean- and Asian-American to be the president of the United States in the race against her Republican challenger, former president Donald J. Trump.

Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke told the Caribbean Media Corporation that election day marks a turning point for the US, where Americans will make their choice about who the country stands for and what it stands against.
