Jamaica, along with its CARICOM partners, has entered into a major partnership agreement with the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) aimed at boosting trade, investment, and development across the region.
The agreement is expected to enhance access to trade financing and investment capital, key tools for driving economic growth and development in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
Officials say the partnership will also strengthen ties between the region and Africa, opening new avenues for trade, business collaboration, and cultural exchange.
The agreement was signed by Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson Smith and Afreximbank representative Okechukwu Ihejirika.
