"Byah" Mitchell wins at Monmouth Park

Jamaican jockey Richard "Byah" Mitchell rode his 4th winner of the year on the us circuit after guiding home the 5-1 chance Annika Gold in Saturday's first event on the 7 race card at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.

The line-up of six fillies and mares 3 year old and up, journeyed over 5 and a half furlongs on the dirt for a purse of $22,100.

Annika Gold was saddled by Jamaican trainer Ricardo Bailey.
