Voice of former CONCACAF president Austin "Jack" Warner

Former FIFA vice president Austin "Jack" Warner says he is delighted that CONCACAF will be adjusting the format for the World Cup qualifying. Warner says the proposed format for the 2022 qualifiers was biased in favor of the North American teams.

He was also surprised that Jamaica and Haiti approved the format. CONCACAF has proposed a format where the top six teams in the region by the June 2020 FIFA rankings would compete for three automatic spots to the World Cup, while the remaining 29 members would compete for a playoff spot.
