Humble Lion retains Clarendon F.A. Knock Out title

Defending Champions Humble Lion rallied from a goal down to beat fellow Premier League campaigners Sporting Central Academy 2-1 to retain the Clarendon F.A Knock Out title on Sunday at the Effortville Community Centre.

With the match ending at 1-all after regulation time, Romain Barnes scored after 106 minutes to ensure humble lion retain the title.

Coach Geoffrey Maxwell was delighted to have beaten their parish rivals in the important match

“I think the players played well in the first half. In the second half, I think they became too defensive but give credit also to Sporting Central, they had their moments and fortunately as defending champions we have won it one more time already”, Maxwell said.

Bucknor won the third place playoff 4-3 on penalties over Four Paths after they played to 0-0 stalemate after full and extra-time.

Bucknor will now represent the parish in the All Island Knock-Out competition next year.
