The English-speaking Caribbean's richest race, the Mouttet Mile, is expected to have another group of high quality overseas horses to complement local entrants for the 4th running of the ultra-rich event on December 6 at Caymanas Park.
Speaking last Saturday at the launch for this year's renewal, Executive Chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), Solomon Sharpe, announced an increase of US $50,000 to the purse for the 2025 edition, taking it to a whopping $300,000. The Anthony Nunes-trained Barnaby, has so far qualified for the 2025 event.
Sharpe also confirmed the inclusion of two other big races on this year's Mouttet Mile day programme, the secondary feature, the Bruceontheloose Trophy for a purse of US $100,00 and the Chairman’s Plate for US $40,000.The theme for this year's Mouttet Mile race day is "Back to the '70s".
