Jamaica boxer Ricardo Brown has booked a place at this summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo after the decision was taken by authorities to use a ranking system to select boxers after last month's qualifying event in Argentina was cancelled.
Brown will represent Jamaica in the super heavyweight category by virtue of capturing bronze at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019.
Brown had defeated Honduran Darwin Rodriguez on points in a split-decision 3-2, to share the third spot at the Pan Am Games.
His podium finish was Jamaica's 12th Pan American Games medal in the sport and the first since Ricardo Smith took bronze in the welterweight class at the 2007 games in Rio, Brazil.
